Domestic Shipping and Handling Cost
We offer Free Canada Post ground shipping, or we may choose a courier ground shipping on domestic purchases over $99 (before taxes). Please note, free shipping can take between 5-14 business days, depending on your location, and should you require you order faster, please choose the paid upgrade shipment option at check-out. Unfortunately due to high shipping costs to orders from Canadian Territories (Northern, Yukon and Nunavut), we cannot offer free shipping to these areas.
Faster shipping options, as well as orders below the $99 (before tax) free shipping will require additional shipping charges. Shipping costs are calculated using automated shipping software, and will vary depending on the location, size and dimensional weight of package. Your order will be shipped via standard ground shipping unless you select an alternative at checkout, and can be expected to arrive within the 5-14 business day time frame.
All orders placed will be subject to a 48 hour processing time to allow time for credit approval, address verification and order processing. Charals only delivers your order to the Paypal confirmed shipping address you provide them. To ensure your order is delivered to your desired address, please input this shipping information in Paypal’s system at the time of your payment. We are unable to make any shipping address changes as per Paypal’s policy and will use the address that we receive from Paypal.
Please ensure you put the correct shipping address. If you make a mistake, please contact us immediately and we will make the corrections. If however the shipment has already left our premises and been shipped, there is nothing we can do, and is your responsibility and no refunds will be provided.
Canada Post and Courier services do not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. Average ground transit time is 5-10 business days (does not include processing time). Additional shipping fees may apply. Please allow extra time for deliveries to non-major centre’s and remote locations. Charals is not responsible for delivery delays that may occur as a result of poor weather conditions and parcel volume, as we have no control over and are not responsible for weather-related damages occurred during order transit after shipping.
Please note that you may request small flat and light weight paper refill orders, to be shipped via Canada Post regular envelope without tracking information. Should you choose this method, Charals is not responsible if the parcel is lost in transit. Please contact us directly for this method of shipping
Due to the nature of ink cartridges and ink bottles freezing or bursting when the weather becomes colder, Charals does not offer Free shipping, or paid Regular/Standard shipments on any ink cartridges or ink bottles orders. Should you still wish to order these items during the cold weather, we will only ship via Express which will require additional shipping charges. Please note, some fountain pens which come with an ink cartridge in them, will have the cartridge removed from the shipment in your order during inclement weather conditions due to the above reasons. Although, we do our best to package your items as best as we can to ensure the item(s) get to you safely, as we have not control once the package leaves our premises, Charals cannot be responsible for any weather related damage to your items and no refunds will be provided.
After your order has been processed, you will be sent a Shipping Confirmation email that will offer the ability to track your shipment.
Charals will not ship to 3rd party receiving institutions including but not limited to; UPS Stores, Mailboxes Etc, Hotels, Freight Forwarding companies, etc.
Due to licensing agreements, not all brands are available to be shipped out of Canada. For items allowed, please call us. The shipping costs will be determined by product dimensional weight and our current UPS shipping rate will be applied to your order upon checkout. Upon completion of your order, we will ship. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the Buyer is responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what the additional costs will be prior to your purchase.
After your order has been processed, you will receive an e-mail informing you that the order has shipped and tracking information will be provided. You may also view your order online by logging into your Account and selecting “My Orders.”
